October has been delivering some great fishing along Florida’s east coast, and the redfish are stealing the show!

Here at Reel Deal Fishin’ Charters, we’ve been putting guests on some beautiful fish throughout New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach. From oversized reds bending rods to families enjoying their first fishing adventure, it’s been a good month on the water.

Big Redfish Are Keeping the Rods Bent!

The October redfish bite continues to produce some impressive catches. We’ve been landing beautiful oversized reds, giving our guests a chance to experience just how much power these fish have.

There’s nothing quite like watching a rod double over when a big redfish takes the bait. The drag starts screaming, the fight is on, and you never know just how big that fish is until you get it alongside the boat.

We’ve had some great family trips lately, with kids and adults getting in on the action. Watching a young angler battle their first big redfish is something that never gets old!

Black Drum and Snook Are Adding to the Action

Redfish might be getting most of the attention, but they aren't the only fish keeping us busy this October.

Black drum have also been making appearances throughout our local waters, adding some nice variety to our inshore fishing trips. We've also had opportunities to target snook, another hard fighting favorite here on Florida's east coast.

Whether we're working the waters around New Smyrna Beach, exploring Mosquito Lagoon, or fishing the Indian River Lagoon, every trip brings something a little different.

Species we're seeing and targeting this October:

  • Oversized redfish

  • Black drum

  • Snook

That's what makes fishing this area so much fun. You never know what might grab the bait next!

Good Fishing, Great Families, and Plenty of Smiles

One of the best parts of running Reel Deal Fishin’ Charters is sharing these waters with the families and groups who come aboard.

Some folks have been fishing their whole lives. Others are picking up a rod for the very first time. Either way, we're here to get everyone involved and make sure they enjoy their time on the water.

From kids fighting their first big redfish to families celebrating a great catch together, October has given us plenty of moments worth remembering.

And judging by the smiles in our latest fishing pictures, I'd say we're doing something right!

Don't Forget About Our Night Fishing Trips!

Just because the sun goes down doesn't mean the adventure has to stop.

Our nighttime fishing trips offer a completely different way to experience the waters around New Smyrna Beach. With opportunities to target snook and other local species after dark, there's always something exciting about being on the water at night.

We also offer our signature flounder gigging trips, where we cruise the shallow waters under bright lights, spotting flounder along the bottom.

No rods, no reels. Just lights, gigs, and a sharp eye!

If you've never experienced our local waters after dark, come see what you've been missing.
