Flounder Charters in New Smyrna Beach

Some of our fastest, most fun action! Plus great eating too!

Flounder are one of the most unique fish in our inshore waters — flat, camouflaged, and waiting on the bottom for the perfect moment to strike. New Smyrna Beach and the Indian River hold strong numbers of flounder year-round, especially around sandy cuts, mangrove edges, and oyster bars where bait sweeps through with the tide.

This is a hands-on guided trip with constant surprises. One second your line feels like bottom… then it moves. When a flounder thumps your bait and loads the rod, you feel every bit of it.

And with Capt. Chad’s background in flounder gigging, you’re fishing with someone who knows their behavior better than most guides on the coast.

How We Target Flounder

We ease along sandy drop-offs, mangrove points, and oyster edges where flounder bunker down and ambush passing bait. Most strikes feel subtle — a tap, a little pressure, then a solid pull.

Some days we drift productive stretches. Other days we fish slower and pick apart key structure. When the tide is moving, the bite can get fast. It’s simple, visual, and perfect for all skill levels.
