If this week proved anything, it’s that the snook bite is flat-out on fire right now.

We’ve had a great mix of families and anglers on the boat, and the fish showed up exactly how you want them to this time of year. And as the days rolled on, it only got better.

We’ve been working bridges, docks, and deeper edges around the Indian River Lagoon, and the snook are stacked up tight to structure. Early mornings and right before dark have been the windows, with fish crushing live bait and not giving a second chance once they commit. Plenty of slot fish around, with some bigger ones mixed in to keep things interesting.

One of the best moments this week was watching a young angler step up and handle a solid snook like a pro. That’s what it’s all about. Seeing kids light up, learning the rhythm, and landing fish they’ll remember for a long time.

The evening bite has been just as strong. Once the light drops and the water settles, the snook turn on. Dock lights reflecting across the surface, bait moving, and then that thump. Night trips right now are producing some of the most consistent action we’ve seen in a while.

What’s Working

  • Live bait has been the go-to

  • Fishing tight to structure like docks and bridges

  • Targeting deeper edges during moving water

  • Early morning and evening bites producing best

The pattern is simple right now. Find structure, fish it slow, and be ready when it happens. Because when they eat, it’s quick.

Looking Ahead

As long as this warm water sticks around, this bite should stay strong. If you’ve been thinking about getting after snook, now’s the time to do it.
