The sheepshead bite has been holding strong lately around the bridges and docks here in New Smyrna Beach. We’ve been putting together some solid trips with multiple limits coming over the rail and steady action from start to finish.
Live shrimp and fiddler crabs have been getting it done tight to structure. The bite has stayed consistent through the tide swings, and it’s been a great setup for anglers of all skill levels to hook up and stay busy.

These trips have been a good time all around. Families, groups of friends, and first-timers are all getting in on the action and putting fish in the boat. On top of the sheepshead, we’ve been seeing jack crevalle crash through and even a few sharks show up to keep things interesting.

Spring is lining up the way it should, and the fishing around New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach is only getting better from here.

If you’re in town and want to get out on the water, now’s the time.
Give Capt. Chad a call and let’s go fishing.
