New Smyrna Beach Fishing Report – Birthday Redfish and Smiles All Around

Another solid day on the water out of New Smyrna Beach, and this one came with a little extra meaning. We had a young man celebrating his 5th birthday on the boat, and he got to do it the right way — rod in hand and fish on the line.

The action didn’t take long to get going. Early in the trip, he teamed up and put a beautiful redfish in the boat that was just about his size. You could see it all over his face — pure excitement from start to finish.

We worked the New Smyrna Beach area and around the inlet, staying on steady fish and keeping rods bent. Dad jumped in on the action too, landing a solid redfish of his own while we kept the bite going and the energy high.
