Sheepshead Biting and Sharks in the Mix

The bite around New Smyrna Beach has been delivering some fun action lately, especially for families getting out on the water.

On a recent trip with Reel Deal Fishin’ Charters, we got into a solid sheepshead bite and even tangled with a couple sharks that kept everyone on their toes. When those sharks show up, things get exciting in a hurry.

The real highlight of the day was watching the kids take over the rods. Seeing young anglers reel in fish like seasoned pros is always the best part of a trip, and there were smiles all around as fish kept coming over the rail.

Around the Indian River Lagoon and nearby waters off Daytona Beach, sheepshead have been providing steady action and are a great target for anglers of all ages. They fight hard for their size and make for a great day on the water.

But more than anything, days like this are what fishing is really about. Spending time with family, watching kids get excited about every bite, and making memories that last far longer than the fillets in the cooler.

If you’re visiting the New Smyrna Beach or Daytona Beach area and want to experience the local fishing for yourself, Capt. Chad with Reel Deal Fishin’ Charters is always ready to get you out on the water.

Whether it’s your kids’ first fish or you’re just looking for a laid back day fishing the backwaters, it’s always a good time when the rods start bending.
