New Smyrna Beach Charter Fishing & Coastal Tours
Welcome to Reel Deal Fishin’ Charters
Looking for a Florida fishing trip that’s laid back, full of action, and nothing like the big crowded boats?
You’ve come to the right coast.
New Smyrna Beach is one of Florida’s best kept secrets, and Capt. Chad Knight has spent years getting dialed into every bank, bend, and bite. From redfish in the shallows to flounder under the lights, these trips reflect real local experience.
Capt. Chad fishes where the bite is, not where the brochure says to go.
We’re also one of the only charter outfits in the Daytona area offering flounder gigging from the boat — a nighttime hunt few visitors even know exists, and one Capt. Chad has made his specialty for over a decade.
Whether you’re fishing, cruising, or just looking to try something different, we’ll make it a day — or night — you won’t forget.

Charter Trips
Meet Captain Falon
I’m Captain Falon, a passionate local fisherman who loves helping others experience the thrill of coastal fishing. From chasing trophy snook along the beaches and inlets to family-friendly backwater trips, I bring local knowledge, patience, and a laid-back attitude to every charter.
Fishing has been a way of life for me since growing up on these waters, and I take pride in creating memorable experiences for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you’re after snook, redfish, trout, flounder, or tarpon, my goal is simple — work hard, fish harder, and make every trip one to remember.

Meet Captain Chad Knight
Hey, I’m Captain Chad Knight—owner of Reel Deal Fishin’ Charters. I grew up loving the outdoors and moved to Florida from Tennessee when I was 11.
Since then, the water’s been my home. I’ve been blessed to turn my passion into a profession and now hold a 50-Ton Master License with a towing endorsement.
Fishing in New Smyrna Beach and Daytona
Shallow, Scenic, and Always Changing
The waters around New Smyrna and Daytona Beach offer year-round fishing just minutes from shore. Whether you're casting in the mangroves, cruising the flats, or easing along the beach, there's always something biting.
Capt. Chad adjusts each trip based on the season, the tides, and the bite — not some preset route. One day might mean redfish in the lagoon. The next, chasing kingfish just off the breakers. And if you’re up for something rare, nighttime flounder gigging is where his reputation was built.
You don’t need to go far offshore to have a great day.
You just need someone who knows where to look.
Common targets include:
-
Redfish, trout, snook, and flounder
-
Tarpon, kingfish, cobia, and sharks
-
Sheepshead, black drum, mullet, and blue crabs

Flounder Gigging: New Smyrna’s Nighttime Secret

Most captains don’t offer it. Most visitors don’t even know it exists.
Flounder gigging is a rare, after-dark hunt through calm, shallow water — and Capt. Chad has built his name on it.
Using hand-built halogen lights and multi-prong spears, you’ll scan the glowing bottom for your shot.
No rods, no bait, no bouncing waves. Just quiet water, sharp eyes, and fish on deck.
If you're looking for something different while you're in New Smyrna or Daytona, this is the trip people talk about after they leave.

We run a 22’ Sundance skiff with quiet power, LED light rigs for night trips, and a layout designed for fishing comfort and wildlife viewing. Shallow enough for the backwaters. Solid enough for nearshore hunts.
